IS DISINFECTION WITH OZONE EFFECTIVE?

100 % – but it is necessary to choose suitable ozone generator and right amount of ozone application for given area, that is to be disinfected. Ozone will kill all bacteria and viruses. Due to its gaseous state, it easily spreads throughout interior and cleans objects, tools or even plaster on walls. It eliminates harmful pathogens and bad odors. Ozone generators are suitable for both disinfection and elimination of odor, e.g. smoke odor.

WHAT KIND OF GENERATOR CHOOSE AND HOW TO SET IT UP?

For a first-time owner of ozone generator, it is very important to understand how the ozone works and especially how to effectively use it. Common rule, that we recommend for “shock” cleaning with disinfection effect, 5-10 000 mg/h for every 100 - 150 m2 of cleaned area. Ozone generator of 3 500-5 000 mg/h will require more time, to achieve same effect as generator 20 000 mg/h. Time and volume of produced ozone are two main factors we are working with. When using the generator to kill bacteria, viruses, eliminate odors or molds, it is necessary to factor in the amount of pollution or odor levels. The generator is set accordingly to these factors. Be reminded, that using too much ozone can leave behind strong odor, which may last up to several weeks

HOW TO EFFECTIVELY CLEAN AND DISINFECT WITH OZONE?

Before using the generator, it is necessary to first thoroughly clean the room by hand. Do not use ozone as an only form of cleaning, whether you plan to disinfect from viruses or eliminate smells or odors. To achieve the best results, you have to use common cleaners to mechanically clean all the surfaces that come in contact with people at first. For example, when eliminating odors, first, you have to properly vacuum and mop the floors, remove dirt and dust, that may have settled in corners, etc. Ozone slowly moves from the outside to the inside and dirt and dust could create a barrier, making it difficult for the ozone to fully spread. To achieve the best result possible, we suggest a multi-level method. If the main problem is an old rug – have it properly cleaned at the dry-cleaners at first. If the problem are walls that smell of smoke, first, clean the walls, and only paint again after cigarette odor is gone. When the odor is fully removed, and thoroughly cleaned by both ozone and by hand using cleaners, then we suggest painting the walls.

IS IT SAFE TO USE THE OZONE GENERATOR?

Disinfection with ozone is currently the most effective and most ecological method in space cleaning. Several regulation agencies, including European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA), have determined that tolerable amount of residue is 0,1 ppm. Please, be reminded, that that amount is for continuous exposure for the duration of 8 hours. Temporary impacts of such exposure would range from slight headache to sore throat or eye and nose irritation. So far, there are no documented permanent impacts from being exposed to ozone.

Ozone cleaning has been used for many years to clean cars and air conditioning units, currently it is used in public transport, hospitals, surgeries, hotels and other establishments frequently filled with high number of people. Before use, make sure to thoroughly read and abide the conditions of use of the ozone generator, that are in detail described in the user manual.

CAN OZONE KILL ALL VIRUSES, INCLUDING NEW TYPE OF CORONAVIRUS?

Yes, it can. There are at least 17 different studies, that prove the effectivity of ozone against SARS type viruses, which is similar to the new coronavirus COVID-19 up to 80 %. At this moment there is no known virus or bacteria, that would be able to withstand the right concentration of ozone.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO MEASURE THE CONCENTRATION OF THE OZONE?

Yes, it is. It is possible to purchase a professional ozone concertation meters, however those are suitable rather for industrial use due to high pricing. If the instructions are followed carefully, there is no risk of health damage.

HOW TO USE THE DEVICE IN HOUSEHOLDS?

Same as anywhere else. Make sure there are no persons, animals or plant in the area, set the timer correspondingly to the size of the area according to the table. Enter the room only after at least two hours since the cleaning process and air the area.
